LEADERSHIP
“I'm not stopping, until I become the best in my field...no questions asked.” - Tim Grover
Before I get into Tim Grover, keep in mind that LEADERSHIP can be taught from an individual, a book, and just mere experience. Tim is one of the individuals that has helped me strengthen my mental performance as a coach, psychologist, and as an overall human. With that said, all the information in this article was written at a time when I was going through school. Tim's book RELENTLESS is the main book that inspired me. In this article, we will delve into what is relentless and how Tim uses the COOLER, CLOSER, & CLEANER. Thank You Tim for what you do in the world brother!

RELENTLESS
- Tim showed relentlessness by allowing himself to not limit his mind and when an upset in life would come he would hold himself accountable and create instant transformation into how that upset served him.
- In the book RELENTLESS he speaks about himself visualizing and manifesting working with elite athletes in the future. Manifestation in the serious light, where the individual genuinely believes in their heart & soul in what they want to manifest.
- Tim defines relentless in three different words. Cooler, Closer, & Cleaner. We will go into detail later in this article, but they have to do with how LEADERS perform and the type of LEADERS there are in a simplistic way.
- Mental & physical dominance is the point that the book RELENTLESS talks about.
COOLER [Good]
- A cooler is an individual that thinks about what they are supposed to think about & nothing more.
- A cooler tries to fight their dark side, but loses. This is because the acceptance to meet the minimum standard and nothing more.
- The cooler is never in a situation where they have to be 'clutch.' This is because they are confident in specific areas and tends to not go the extra mile.
CLOSER [Great]
- A closer thinks, analyzes, & will eventually act once ready. This is more of an analytical-minded individual who does go the extra mile.
- A closer is an individual who acknowledges their dark side, but isn't able to control it. We see this as a major separator between those who are great to those who are unstoppable.
- The closer different from a cooler is an individual who IS in a 'clutch' high-pressure situations. This is due to the ability to think, analyze, and act.
CLEANER [Unstoppable]
- A cleaner keeps pushing themselves harder when everyone else has had
enough. Though closers go the extra mile, the cleaners are willing to go past breaking point, which in turn creates a RELENTLESS mindset. - A cleaner is completely aware of who they are. They are aware of their strengths, how they show up in the world, and not ashamed of it.
- The cleaner is what seperates all high performers. This is due to cleaners being able to harness their dark side into raw controlled power. Opposed from a cooler and closer; we see that cleaners use the dark side as fuel and are able to harness it to push past the breaking point towards RELENTLESSNESS.
